I’m a retired physician with nothing to do! That didn’t last too long. In addition to the practice of medicine, a lifelong passion of mine has been photography. The desire was there but not the time.
The time became right in 2011 and I enrolled in Brookhaven Community College. Since then I have studied fine art photography under David Newman, an inspirational mentor.
In my medical practice I was emotionally involved with my patients, and now I am emotionally involved with my photographs. Each image has a meaning and significance which I attempt to capture and communicate to the viewer.
With the use of form, texture and high contrast in my black and white photos, and the use of saturated colors in my color photos, I attempt to connect with and give pleasure to my viewers. I want them to enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
